Common Issues Affecting Heat Pumps

  • "Leaks" from the heat pump may be condensation from normal operation. I confirm this is not the case.
  • A "No Flow" code can be caused by a restriction on the suction or pressure side of the pump like a dirty filter or valves that are not in proper position. I confirm this is not the case.
  • Heat pump performance is dependent of ambient air temperature to heat the pool water. Lowered heat performance can be caused by colder outside temperatures. I confirm this is not the case.
  • "No display" or dead control panel can be cause by no power going to the heat pump such as a breaker/GFCI is not set or has tripped. I confirm this is not the case.
